About Us
Finding Inspiration in the Arts
SRD is a female-led theatrical production company, proudly guided by Dr. Sherry Wright-Gully, the matriarch - affectionately known as Ms. Sherry. A devoted mother to two adult daughters and doting grandmother to five beloved grand-loves. She brings both vision and warmth to our work. Our name, SRD, stands for Sherry, Ronda, and Diamond—a legacy of collaboration, creativity, and purpose.

With roots in live theatre and short films, we're expanding into web series to broaden our impact. At the core of every production is our commitment to excellence and integrity. We specialize in clean, compelling content that uplifts, empowers, and strengthens families and communities.

Our Story
SRD Holywood Productions was founded by Dr. Sherry Wright-Gully, born from her passion and experience in writing and producing gospel stage plays. Her debut production, 'Single Wives', premiered in 2003 at O'Fallon Apostolic Assembly under the leadership of Bishop Gregory Wells, Sr., and received a standing ovation. The enthusiastic response to that first performance ignited her desire to continue creating impactful theatrical works, ultimately leading to the incorporation of SRD in 2005 under a different name.

Her productions have been showcased at notable venues including the Missouri History Museum, Southern Illinois University–Edwardsville, and the University of Missouri–St. Louis, reaching audiences across multiple states, including Georgia. Among her proudest achievements is the selection of her work 'Circle of Influence' for a staged reading at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival (ABTF), a milestone that allowed her cast to travel to Atlanta, perform at the festival, and engage with a diverse community of artists and celebrities.

At SRD Holywood Productions we are passionate about creating a space where local artists can discover, develop, and share their God-given talents. Through an open audition process centered on memorized monologues, we welcome both seasoned performers and first-time actors. Our casting directors offer thoughtful, constructive feedback after each performance, fostering growth and confidence in every participant.

We proudly offer workshops designed for those who feel called to the stage but lack the experience or assurance to begin. Time and again, first-time actors have stunned audiences with performances that reveal no trace of inexperience. Our commitment is to nurture family-oriented individuals within SRD's culture. Our commitment has led to lifelong friendships, even marriages, and a community that believes in healing souls through the power of the arts.

In honoring the dedication of our understudies, SRD schedules exclusive performances to showcase their talent and hard work. These opportunities allow emerging actors to deepen their craft and explore new creative horizons.

In a world marked by uncertainty and unrest, we remain steadfast in our mission: to create positive, transformative experiences both on and off the stage—encouraging strong values, ethical growth, and vibrant communities for people from all walks of life.
